The veins occur in welded rhyolitic flows and lesser ash-flow tuff of the Early to Middle Jurassic Hazelton group (Entiako Formation).

The East Vein is exposed in several frost-shattered outcrops up to 5 metres across that occur over a total strike length of approximately 80 metres. The vein trends 080 degrees, perpendicular to the trend of the other, known mineralized veins on the 3Ts property. Outcrops along the East Vein include very siliceous rhyolite quartz feldspar porphyry (RQFP) with cross cutting quartz veins and well brecciated zones. The eastern end of the East Vein consists of intensely silicified RQFP with cross-cutting quartz veins and veinlets. The character of the vein gradually changes westward along strike, to vein quartz only. Textbook epithermal features like millimetre-scale banding and crustified epithermal textures were observed during detailed mapping of the East Vein. Carbonate content is variable with up to 40 per cent carbonate in brecciated sections, where carbonate often occurs as the breccia matrix. Sulphide mineralization consists of trace disseminated pyrite and rare chalcopyrite, galena, and sphalerite.

In 1995, two float samples (52488 and 52489) from the East vein area yielded 0.936 and 0.434 gram per tonne gold with 18.9 and 52.7 grams per tonne silver, respectively (Assessment Report 24203).

In 1996, a float sample (59763) from the East vein area yielded 19.24 grams per tonne gold and 62.5 grams per tonne silver (Assessment Report 24710).

In 2012, a total of 26 rock samples were collected by Independence Gold Corp along the East vein. Five crew days spent prospecting both east and west of the East vein, covering the eastern part of the property. The East Vein is not exposed along strike in either direction, but a number of quartz vein float boulders were sampled. A rock chip sample from the western end of the East Vein contains 13.0 grams per tonne gold and 946.0 grams per tonne silver across 50 centimetres (Assessment Report 33483). Samples (A00043313 and A00043298) of mineralized quartz veined boulders, located approximately 500 metres northeast and 425 metres southeast of the East vein yielded up to 18.0 and 31.0 grams per tonne gold with 178 and 301 grams per tonne silver, respectively (Assessment Report 33483).

In 2019, a rock sample from the East vein area yielded values of up to 0.11 gram per tonne gold and 3.0 grams per tonne silver (Assessment Report 38838).
